Process Engineer

  • Geelong location

We are looking for an experienced process engineer specialising in automated process systems and asset maintenance and reliability. The facilitative role will work with operational teams to improve process performance and management for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

As a large component of the role coordinates the development of asset management programs for treatment assets, you’ll have demonstrated experience in asset renewal and maintenance programs and solid project management capability. Where process improvements are identified, you will develop business cases to support and manage projects ensuring a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management.

Adept in process control, optimisation and risk management, you’ll execute analysis and benchmarking of process performance and identify and implement improvement initiatives. This will enable operational excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement.

You will drive consistency in risk management practice from control systems through to procedural and administrative controls. Working collaboratively across the business, you will effectively engage stakeholders and assist with prioritisation and planning to deliver operational excellence.

Not only will your technical skills be put to the test, the role will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills in a number of contact management related areas, including managing key stakeholders.  

You are customer oriented, teamed with a commercial mindset and good communication skills. What’s more, you’ll bring excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and demonstrate strong leadership qualities. You blend this expertise with an innovative approach to problem solving.

With a degree or higher in engineering, you are a developing technical professional with solid postgraduate experience ready to take the next step in your career. Ideally, you have experience in water or wastewater treatment, will have worked across relevant sectors and can apply your sound knowledge to our complex facilities.

A current driver licence is required.

Water Infrastructure Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person with a strong technical aptitude to join our Network Operations team based in the Otways.

In this hands-on role you will be passionate about delivering results and enjoy structured work processes and clear responsibilities.

You’ll be part of a team that provides efficient and effective operation and maintenance of network assets, including channels, pumps, pipes and valves. You will also be responsible for monitoring, sampling and data logging.

We are looking for someone who is safety focused, motivated and able to work according to operating procedures while proactively identifying problems and developing innovative solutions.

With a real drive for continuous improvement and excellent communication and computer skills, you thrive in learning and using new technologies, including remote control of operational assets.

What’s more, you bring along excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have the ability to influence and engage others. Working as part of a team, you can also work autonomously, contributing to the overall team goal.

Ideally you have a technical trade or operational experience in processing, manufacturing or utilities in an industrial setting or similar environment. While water industry experience will be an advantage, we will support the successful candidate to obtain a Certificate III in water industry operations.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in an on-call roster system to respond to out-of-hours network events.

A current Victorian driver licence is required.
