Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) CAD Administrator

  • Full time (flexible)

We are looking for an innovative GIS professional to join our team of geospatial specialists. If you enjoy being challenged, hold creative technical skills, can analyse complex situations, visualise problems and deliver sound "spatial" solutions, please read on.

This role will expose you to a range of technical and spatial aspects, from day-to-day operations, CAD system management, data modelling, data entry and analysis, land survey and asset management and managing small GIS projects.

Not only will you be responsible for driving improved business solutions through administration and development of the GIS CAD editing suite and data analysis, you will also provide specialist knowledge and contribute to the implementation of the Geospatial Services team’s strategic direction.

With excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, you will posses strong leadership qualities, have the ability to influence and engage others and blend this expertise with an innovative approach to problem solving. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a number of commercially related areas, including managing key internal and external stakeholders and building relationships to deliver operational excellence.

Your technical skills will be put to the test with a large part of this role requiring you to provide professional advice and support on complex technical issues. You will enjoy plenty of hands-on experience within a variety of areas and the opportunity to learn from the best in the business, including access to broad training and development opportunities.

Degree qualified, you are a developing professional with solid post graduate experience in  geomatics, geospatial science or geographic information systems. You will need to demonstrate the key attributes, outlining significant achievements centred around GIS and cartographic principles, as well as a proven ability to work well with others.

Project Manager - Urban Development

  • Contract (12 months)

We are looking for a customer oriented Project Manager to manage high profile, high risk and complex developments and new business connections. Projects will range from small redevelopments of existing urban areas to multi-storey buildings, retirement villages and large commercial, industrial and agricultural business initiatives.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will prioritise, coordinate and monitor end-to-end work flows while being able to anticipate, resolve or escalate for a seamless customer experience. There will also be an opportunity to apply your well developed strategic thinking and commercial skills. With your business acumen, you will be well practised in contract negotiation.

The role requires excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. You will have the ability to influence and engage others while building strong relationships across all levels of the business and with key stakeholders.

Working within established frameworks, you understand business concepts and can develop system requirements and procedures to support business processes. Your technical skills will be put to the test with a large part of the role requiring you to provide accurate and professional advice to developers, builders, engineers, contractors and plumbers.

You are a developing professional with solid postgraduate project management experience across relevant sectors, including local government, building development, construction, planning or similar. With a bachelor degree or similar in project management or civil engineering, you will demonstrate key attributes and qualities, outlining significant achievements centred around project management and/or delivery. Experience with designing business processes to deliver streamlined and efficient services will set you apart from other candidates.
