Land Development Officer

  • Permanent position (flexible work options available)

We are looking for a Land Development Officer to provide accurate and professional advice to developers, builders, engineers and plumbers throughout our service region. You’ll have an opportunity to develop your skills in a number of commercial related areas, including managing key stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of a wide variety of development and infrastructure projects.

Customer oriented, you will bring excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to the role. You have the ability to influence and engage others and can build strong relationships across all levels of the business. Working as part of a team, you can also work autonomously, contributing to the overall team goal.

Your technical skills will be put to the test as a large part of this role involves providing support for complex technical issues across projects ranging from small re-developments of existing residential areas, to multi-storey buildings, retirement villages, large commercial and industrial complexes. Not only do you have the ability to understand, interpret and evaluate technical reports and engineering plans, you are proficient with planning systems like GIS.

You’ll be a developing professional with work experience in project management, planning, design, operation or construction of land development, building or water infrastructure projects. Ideally your experience will be complemented by a degree or diploma in civil engineering, certificate of technology, trade or something similar. Experience in preparing statutory planning responses, design auditing or application of relevant water industry standards and regulations will set you apart from other candidates.

Ideally, your solid customer service experience will be complemented with a certificate 3 or higher in customer contact or similar. You couple this with your sound technical knowledge and experience across most relevant sectors, including utilities, infrastructure or water services. Not only are you proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant ICT tools, you are methodical, adaptable and a self-starter.  You also have the ability to multitask.
