Engineer – Source Management

We are looking for a Source Management Engineer to join our Infrastructure Systems team.

The role will be responsible for delivering end-to-end source management while meeting EPA, Barwon Water and legislative requirements. You will do this through protecting and improving source water quality within sewerage networks, ongoing trade waste monitoring and regulation, providing technical advice to minimise waste and facilitating recycling through effective source management.

Committed to protecting the health and safety of customers, property, assets and the environment, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and facilitating positive outcomes.

You will also be responsible for a broad range of source management activities, including the effective management of trade waste customers, catchment risk investigations and supply of fit-for-purpose recycled water. You will work proactively with all levels of trade waste customers, assisting with managing customer feedback on source management issues.

Senior Management Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to lead a small and professional team based in Geelong.  The role will be responsible for timely and accurate provision of management reporting, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and costing to facilitate strategic business decision making.

Responsible for monthly, mid-year and year-end financial reporting, high-level commentary, budgeting and forecasting, you will also provide analysis of financial performance to the Board of Directors and executive management team. Working collaboratively across the business, you will effectively engage relevant stakeholders.

You will be accountable for a number of key business drivers, including: formulation and submission of the annual 5-year corporate plan, ongoing financial reporting, modelling the pricing submission cycle and day-to-day management accounting.

Design Engineer – Pipeline and infrastructure works

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to specialise in pipeline, pump station and associated infrastructure design. The role will support Barwon Water’s Infrastructure Delivery team to develop designs, tender documentation and asset construction.

With proven ability of industry best practice and understanding and application of relevant Australian Standards, your key responsibility will be the timely delivery of designs.

Drawing on your solid project management skills, you will be responsible for coordinating a range of support disciplines, including electrical, structural and geotechnical engineers.

With demonstrated pipeline and hydraulics design experience, you are conversant with pipeline and pump sizing computations, AutoCad/12D in pipeline design and can provide technical advice to our infrastructure and asset management business.

Emphasis will be on cost-effective, timely and safe delivery of projects, encapsulating the project delivery process from development and approval, right through to implementation and close out.

Construction Quality Auditor

  • Geelong location

We are looking for a Construction Quality Auditor to join our Development Services team. You will be responsible for auditing and providing technical advice to consultants and civil contractors during construction of new development projects, including water, recycled water and sewerage infrastructure services. You will also manage the rectification of defect works during defect and maintenance periods.

Your technical skills will be put to the test with a large part of this role requiring you to provide professional advice and support for complex construction issues. Projects range from small re-developments of existing residential areas to multi-storey buildings and large commercial and industrial complexes. Not only will you have the ability to understand, interpret and evaluate technical drawings, you will also be proficient in the use of a wide platform of IT systems and applications, including GIS and workflow management software.

Customer-oriented, you have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills as well as the ability to influence and engage others while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Working as part of a team, you can also work autonomously.

The successful candidate will hold a certificate in civil engineering or relevant industry experience in construction or operation of water and sewerage infrastructure. Knowledge of water codes and guidelines (WSAA) or experience in greenfield and land development processes will set you apart from other candidates.

As a significant component of this role requires vehicle travel within and between the Barwon Water facilities, a current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
