Barwon Water continues to play an active role in our local community.
We provide a comprehensive education program, run a community nursery, are committed to consultation and sponsor a range of groups, charities and causes.
We provide in-kind support for community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations, charity events and sporting clubs.
We're committed to listening to our community on key topics and issues.
We have dedicated customers and environmental consultative committees, and consult widely for our infrastructure projects.
Our education program encourages water awareness and conservation.
Guided tours of our facilities for school and community groups help to increase community education and awareness of the water and sewage treatment process.
The Geelong Community Nursery — an inclusive partnership between Barwon Water and Kommercial — propagates indigenous plants for our sites across the region.
The nursery also provides school and community groups with the chance to become actively involved in learning about and cultivating the indigenous plants of our region.
Please contact us if you would like to visit the nursery or find out more.
