Fees and charges (business customers)

Standard charges

  • Water volume: $2.2144 per kilolitre

This is a usage charge. It is based on the amount of water you use.

1 kilolitre (kL) = 1000 litres

 

  • Water service: $42.08 per quarter

This is a fixed charge. It is the same every quarter, regardless of how much water you use.

 

  • Sewage volume: $1.8405 per kilolitre

This is a usage charge. It is based on the amount of water you use.

 

  • Sewerage service: $82.24 per quarter

This is a fixed charge. It is the same every quarter, regardless of how much water you use.

  

3% increase effective 1 January 2013

In June 2012, The Essential Services Commission (ESC) approved a 3% increase (water volume and water service only — sewerage charges are not affected) to cover the cost of constructing the Melbourne to Geelong Pipeline.

The 3% adjustment is effective from 1 January 2013.

 

Other fees and charges

Business customers may have additional charges, for example a trade waste tariff or fire service fee.

Credits

If you have overpaid a bill, the extra amount will appear as a credit on your next bill.

Our fees and charges are regulated by the Essential Services Commission, an independent government body.
