WaterMAP

WaterMAP is a Victorian Government program for large, non-residential water users.

A waterMAP (Water Management Action Plan) assists assists eligible non-residential customers to:

  • assess their water usage
  • identify inefficiencies and opportunities for water savings
  • prepare an action plan to implement water conservation activities
  • report on the implementation of water conservation activities.

Businesses that use more than 10 million litres of water annually are required to submit a waterMAP.

Businesses that use more than 5 million litres of water annually can participate in the waterMAP program.

Businesses that use 5 million litres of drinking water or more, at any one site, are invited to develop and submit a waterMAP.

Each waterMAP business is assigned a water conservation officer to assist in creating, submitting, monitoring, reporting and developing their action plan.
